Bungalows, porches and the right corner for a tree
A big share of Highland Park sits inside the Highland Park-Garvanza Historic Preservation Overlay Zone, which is one reason so many early 1900s Craftsman bungalows are still standing. Most follow a familiar plan: a few steps up to a covered porch, a front door that opens into the living room, and either a fireplace or a wide front window as the natural home for a tree.

That layout keeps the carry short. With delivery and setup, we protect the floor first, which is worth doing on original wood floors, then put the tree in its stand, get it straight, add water and sweep up the needles. If you'd rather handle the stand yourself, drop-off leaves the tree at your door and you take it from there.
Not every house here is a bungalow. The neighborhood also has Victorian-era houses, 1920s Spanish-style homes, duplexes and small apartment buildings along the numbered avenues. Tell us which kind you live in and where you want the tree to stand, and we'll plan around it.
