This is one of our simplest routes. The van leaves the lot on S Glendale Ave, picks up Los Feliz Road heading west, passes through Atwater Village as Los Feliz Blvd, crosses the LA River and the 5, and arrives in Los Feliz in about 10 minutes on a clear road.

Los Feliz Blvd itself is a wide, busy street. If your home faces it, tell Dana about a side street or driveway where the van can stop safely for a few minutes. Griffith Park and the Observatory sit right above the neighborhood, up Vermont Ave. Warm, dry December afternoons against those hills are a good reason to get the tree into water the day it arrives, not the day after.

Hillside homes above Los Feliz Blvd

North of the boulevard, Los Feliz climbs toward Griffith Park. Streets like Glendower Ave curve up the hill, and gated streets such as Laughlin Park keep to themselves. The houses up here are Spanish revival, Mediterranean and period homes, often set well above the street. It's common for the front door to be up a long flight of stairs, and some streets are steep and narrow enough that finding a place to stop is the hard part.
